Other Listings of Professional Organizations to Use in Your Job Search

As I mentioned in my previous post, professional organizations in your chosen field can be great source of job leads and employer contacts.

Here are two more sites (thanks again to Quintcareers.com for these links) that list professional organizations:

WEDDLE's Association Directory allows you to browse organizations by field and industry. That's especially helpful because organization names might not always be intuitive. I found some organizations in my field that I wouldn't have even thought to search for.

Associations on the Net also groups associations and resources by subject. I found it a little more difficult to navigate but the resources were very helpful.

I would mention that you might want to use all three of the sites I recommended because I noticed that some associations might appear on one site but not on an other.

Thanks for mentioning QuintCareers.com in your blog post, but I also wanted to stress the many other job and career tips we offer on the site... from resume-writing tips to interviewing prep -- and so much more. (And, of course, a bunch of networking advice.)
