Career Toolbox: 100+ Places to Find Jobs

Thanks to Sean Aune for putting together a terrific resource at Mashable Career Toolbox: 100+ Places to Find Jobs

It's broken out into categories that include job listing sites and job search resource sites. The job listing sites cover everything from tutors and babysitters to technical positions.

New Source for Non-Profit Job Opportunities

Zoosa ( http://www.zoosa.org/ ), is a new website that combines social impact with a social networking model. Zoosa "aggregates the best social enterprise resources (news, blogs, tweets, & opportunities) to create a single destination for professionals to learn about and get involved in the clean-tech, education, and nonprofit sectors." Mike McGlade, Zoosa CEO, contacted me to let me know that Zoosa is building its catalog of non-profit job openings throughout the US.

Zoosa collects nonprofit jobs, green jobs, teaching jobs & professional skills-based volunteering opportunities from partner sites. These social enterprise opportunities are either paid (full-time/part-time/contract) or unpaid (volunteer/internship).

Zoosa has a look that will be familiar to social networkers, but fairly intuitive to everyone. Registered visitors are allowed to post articles, images, videos, and tweets related to social impact issues. This means that not only can you search for jobs in the social impact field but you can get more visibility to demonstrate your expertise in your chosen field and issue.

As far as job openings went, I did not find any openings specific to Kansas City. However, I did find several "virtual job openings", which I would guess means you can work from anywhere. You can search for jobs by issue, job type, location, and paid/volunteer.

Zoosa is worth keeping an eye on -- and participating in -- if you are interested in social impact issues.
